Sign in for the first time
- If your institution admitted you by email, you received an invitation. Create your account with that exact email address — your admission is applied automatically.
- Already have a Folio account on that email? Just sign in; your admission is already there.
- You land on your student record — the hub for registration, grades, and your transcript.
Note: Signing up with a different email address will not connect you to your institution. Use the address your registrar has on file.
Register for courses
- Open your record and choose Register (or Catalog to browse first).
- While a registration round is open, rank the courses you want in order of preference — your #1 matters most.
- When the round closes, seats are assigned by a fair allocation over everyone’s rankings — not first-come-first-served, so there is no rush to click fast.
- You’ll get the result by email and in the bell: which courses you’re enrolled in and any waitlists.
- If a seat opens later, the longest-waiting student is enrolled automatically and notified.
Submit an assignment with an Integrity Certificate
- Open the assignment link your instructor shared (it looks like /a/CODE) and join.
- Write your work in Folio — your drafting process, citations, and any AI assistance are recorded as you go.
- On the assignment page, pick your document and press Submit. This publishes your Integrity Certificate — a verifiable record of how the work was made.
- You get a receipt email with the certificate code. You can resubmit until the assignment closes; the newest submission stands.
Take a quiz — and learn from it
- Quizzes appear in their course module. You have one attempt, so answer everything before pressing Submit answers.
- After submitting, press Review answers: you’ll see what you picked, what was correct, and your instructor’s explanation of why.
- Your score counts toward the course average shown on My grades.
See your grades
- In a course, open My grades: every assignment and quiz, your course average, and any instructor feedback.
- Weighted items show ×N — they count more toward your average.
- You also see the writing-process signal your instructor sees on each submission. Nothing is hidden from you.
- Final course grades appear on your record; your institution can issue a verifiable transcript from it.
Note: A letter grade like “A-” displays but is not folded into the numeric average — only percentages and fractions (17/20) are, so the average is never a guess.
Complete a peer review
- When your instructor assigns peer reviews, they appear on the assignment page as “Peer reviews assigned to you.”
- Press “Read the submission” to download the peer’s paper, then pick a rating (1–5) and write a short note.
- Reviews are anonymous in both directions — they see your feedback, never your name. You can revise until you’re happy.
- Feedback you receive appears on the same page under “Feedback from your peers.”
Find your exam schedule
- Open Exams from your institution’s menu (or /exams on your institution’s site).
- Exams are listed by date with time and room. You’ll also get a reminder email the day before each exam.
