Accepted Answer

Open the profile menu at the top-right and choose Account settings.

Question 6

When a registration round is open, open Register, add the courses you want, and rank them most-wanted first, then save. Seats are allocated fairly when the round closes.

Question 7

When can I register?

Accepted Answer

During an open registration round for the term. The top bar shows “Registration open” when a round is live, and the academic calendar shows the dates.

Question 8

How are seats decided? Is it first-come-first-served?

Accepted Answer

No. Folio allocates seats by a fair priority (deferred acceptance), not by who clicks first, and never gives you a clashing timetable. Rank honestly. There is no advantage to registering at the exact opening second.

Question 9

I ranked a course but didn't get it.

Accepted Answer

If a course filled, you may be waitlisted. When a seat frees, waitlisted students are promoted automatically in priority order.

Question 10

Why can't I add a course?

Accepted Answer

It may have a prerequisite you haven’t completed, clash with another course you ranked, or be full. The catalog and the register page flag prerequisites and time clashes.

Question 11

Can I change my choices after saving?

Accepted Answer

Yes, while the round is open. Reorder or remove courses and save again. Nothing is final until the round closes and seats are allocated.
