The accessibility requirements Northwind University currently has in force on Folio.

Every line on this page is read from Northwind University’s live Folio settings when the page loads. None of it is hand-written, and a requirement that is switched off is shown as off.

Israeli Standard 5568

Folio uses Israeli Standard 5568, Part 1 (web accessibility), as a reference for accessibility work. We have not completed a formal audit against every requirement, and this statement does not claim conformance with IS 5568, WCAG or any legal standard.

Requirements in force

  • Reduced motion

    Not required

    Northwind University does not remove animation for everyone. Folio still honours the “reduce motion” setting in each person’s own system.

  • Colour contrast floor

    WCAG AA

    Brand colours are held to at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for interface elements. A branding change below that floor is rejected rather than saved.

  • Minimum text size

    16px

    The interface uses Folio’s standard 16px base size. Northwind University has not raised it.

  • Transcripts for recorded teaching

    Not required

    Northwind University does not require a transcript before a recorded session is released to students.

What holds regardless

Independent of the settings above, Folio honours the reduced-motion preference in each person’s own system, and no brand colour can be saved that falls below the institution’s contrast floor.

This is a live read of Northwind University’s configuration, not an audit. It states which requirements Northwind University has switched on; it does not certify that every page, document, recording or uploaded file inside Northwind University’s Folio meets them.

What we have checked

Folio’s interface has targeted automated regression tests for keyboard operation, accessible names, focus, error and status announcements, and right-to-left behaviour in selected flows. Those checks cover specific components and flows; they are not a complete standards audit.

What we have not checked

Folio has not completed end-to-end assistive-technology testing for every route, browser and device. Folio does not test or certify every document, recording, link or other item uploaded by Northwind University’s users, and linked or embedded third-party tools can behave differently.
